COMPRESSION
This browser simulator uses a reduced-order, fictionalized RBMK-inspired model to make the major cause-and-effect relationships visible. Its 12 × 12 core map is a normalized illustrative radial flux shape; it does not solve spatial neutron diffusion and does not feed back into global power.
Neutron power uses point kinetics with delayed-neutron groups and temperature, steam-void, rod, and xenon feedback. Coolant flow, fuel heating, steam pressure, drum level, and iodine/xenon inventories evolve over time. Automatic trips protect the simulated unit.
Real RBMK units differ by design, unit, operating state, modifications, and procedures. This model omits the detailed geometry, instrumentation, control logic, material data, and operating procedures needed to represent or operate a real reactor. Treat all displayed values and control actions as game mechanics.
